Will we make it to 6/15 to take the next picture? I doubt it, so get a look ever one at the 8.5 belly pic, we’ll probably be parents by the time the next one is supposed to happen. As I type this Amanda is having braxton hicks contractions in preparation for the big event…could it be tonight, I hope so…

So I’m head down now and have been listening to a little music. Can’t wait till I’m outta here, and to show that I can’t wait I have been kicking and flipping out like crazy these past weeks. Stir crazy in here! It is one thing to hear video games through the wall of mom’s belly, I just can’t wait to see them. Dad talks about them enough, they must be truly amazing.
We’re close, at this point we have about 7 weeks left. More appointments and faster changes, I consider this the home stretch. Amanda is wrapping things up at work and preparing for her time off. I’m busy getting ahead here so I can take my two weeks right when the kid is born. He’ll be here before we know it!

Mom’s getting a little uncomfortable as we inch closer and closer to the birth. With more daylight and nice weather we’re going to start our walks again. I’m sure that and the fresh spring air will help her out plenty.
So excited, keeps getting closer and closer, less than 100 days till the baby. Give or take obviously since it isn’t an exact science. The baby is kicking like crazy, just yesterday doing a front flip, I swear. He’s tough and extremely active, can’t wait to see him.
Started working on the baby room, its totally empty except for the supplies needed to paint it up. Already have a few framed items to hang up too, can’t wait to get it painted so we can hang those on up. I’ll have up some pics of the room as is and then through the whole process.

The date inches closer. We’ve been spending our days prepping the baby’s room for him. Moving things, organizing, getting rid of stuff, etc. We donated a ton of old clothes and shoes, probably about 6 trash bags full.
This Morning I asked through the belly to the baby, “Are you ready to play some Warhawk?”
I definitely felt a kick of excitement…
I honestly wish the kid was here today. I’m ready to hold him and get him on his way to growing up. No matter what happens in life I know we’ll have nothing but fun. If my relationship with my father is any indication of what I can look forward to, then I know I’m in for something special that will last forever. A bond through common interests, life lessons learned with time spent together, and enjoyment of each other’s company no matter what the situation.
I know Amanda feels the same way. She only talks of the love she has for our son though they have never seen each other, but have met through healthy movements and the growing relationship between a mother and her unborn child. She loves him so much I am worried for his well being due to the amount of hugs and kisses he’ll have to endure.
What can I say, we’re the happiest parents in the world. Through our experiences with our mothers and fathers, we have gained a small glimpse into the joy that parenthood can bring. We can only hope to do them proud by passing on the knowledge they passed to us to raise children that will make us proud, as we hope we have made them.
Today I felt my kid for the first time. It’s super exciting now as I can fully share in the enjoyment now. Amanda has felt the baby for more than a few weeks now, but they were all internal and I couldn’t feel it. Today though after some dinner, he started kicking fierce. He definitely likes Papa John’s.
If only the day were here now, we have about 4 more months till baby day. I can hardly contain my excitement.
