Myspace.com hijack is currently spreading like wildfire

Somebody has managed to hack Myspace with a flash redirect that exploits what is apparently a gaping wide hole in their code. If you are signed into Myspace, and you go to a compromised page, you will be redirected to a blog post containing a diatribe about how the U.S. government is behind 9/11 & your page will now be hijacked! Solution at link.

This is funny because it’s just like when AOL, AIM and the first “free” email services started (ie, Yahoo & Hotmail), “hackers” knew how to take advantage of noob internet users and attacked at the right moment. I bet this hack actually started through those ugly ass glitter graphic myspace “hacks” aka bad CSS and ugly coding with embedded JPGs and animated GIFs that float back and forth and on all those myspace comments and graphics on the About Me section that say HOTTIE and Dropin’ By To Say Hi and Showin’ some LOVE type. That’s my guess, but these programmers are smart and if i was to roll this out, i’d hide the code in those unsuspecting myspacer’s page.

know, on the other hand, i know what it’s like to get hacked and it sucks, but myspace needs a kick in the ass to wake some people up. shit, they are the #1 site for time wasted i mean hits and bandwidth.

so, good luck and i’m going to check to see if i was hacked…

Only in Lodi: Severed bloody foot/cankle in the street

I saw what appeared to be a severed foot and cankle in the street all bloody and disheveled. Well, i managed to avoid the bloody appendage as did everyone else driving on Main Street. On the way back home, the foot and cankle was still there, but there were slowdowns to take a glance at the object. Then, i realized i’ve been served, it was something like this, but bloodier.

It was so real, that i saw a police officer stopping and turning around to pick up the prank.

Dramarama live from the Loop Lounge

Last night (07/13/2006), i finally got to see Dramarama perform their songs. Apparently, New Jersey’s legendary rockers are playing a couple of shows on the east coast with the original lineup including Trash Can Ray on harmonica.

Fairmont opened and finally Dramarama took the stage around 1AM. It was a last minute show and the band literally jump off the plane and headed up to Passaic Park to the Loop Lounge.

They played all of their hits and the show was great. I did not get to bed until just around 3:30 then up for work at 6:30, but at least it’s Friday and i survived.

Is it silly to think that this will never happen again?

Last night, i finally got to see a band that i love. LIFETIME played Bowery Ballroom and it was terrific! Saw some old faces. The only scary part of the night was the car ride home when our driver decided to go 79 MPH on the Henry Hudson weaving in and out like crazy. I don’t have much more to say about Lifetime because it was just perfect. Everything i wanted it to be.

I did enjoy dinner at The Hat down in the LES and then a cold Jever at some German bar near Bowery. After we went somewhere else on B and that was nice too. The margarita’s at the hat were awesome. I talked to Tim and he’s doing well since he moved from NYC to LA. I’m glad. While talking to Columbine, we ran into Scotty Blaze. I guess the lower east side has that effect on people.

I also just watched Superman. It was good, not great. Too much drama, but that’s the point i guess.

Summer Week TWO

Imaging machines over the network is amazing. It’s making our work much easier. I rode my new bike to work the other day. Took 25 minutes for about 4 miles. Not too shabby. I took my time going home, so it took longer.

Lauren, Meg, CED and i headed up to Ramapo last night to see fireworks and a band. Dim saw the MONGOLOID Janitor, aka Traps. Saw some other random people that i dont know their names, but no one with an interesting nickname. Speaking of nicknames, let’s write them all down.

Seeing Lifetime tomorrow. I’m excited!

a Kennedy Story

The Kennedy wedding yesterday was awesome. Outside in Ringwood’s Botanical Gardens. It did not rain, it started thundering, but nothing else. It was great. The food was good, especially the cake. Lauren and Meg got a little toasty, Erik dances like Peter Crouch. Amy’s just so fun and she looked beautiful. It was great and we made it there in time even with no gas, so it worked out perfectly. Take a look at the pictures here or on the right. You may see some celebrities.

Allyson & Ryan’s (The Storys) wedding was just as nice. The outdoor ceremony overlooking a lake was beautiful. It was hot outside, but bright and sunny! Then inside to the Candlewood Inn was nice also. We sat by some cool people and had a great time. Many people there had the New England accent which always makes me laugh (to myself, oh Petahhh) After the wedding, it was back to the hotel for Casino night. I can play blackjack, but i can’t deal. We learned that!

Today, it’s off to Berkeley Heights to Josh & Bryan’s birthday / Bryan’s graduation party! i told you it was a nonstop wedding/family weekend.

Pictures here as always.
