I know that sounds harsh, but seriously. I recently set up a quick stats counter on one of my domains. I’ve noticed about 20% of the queries are for thedomainname.com. So, instead of searching for the person, place or thing, people are searching for the thing’s full qualified domain name.
I guess i’m actually trying to help educate people that searching on google.com for yahoo.com is a waste of time. Just goto yahoo.com, knowwhaimsayin?

What does John Mark Karr, Tom Cruise and a stingray have in common? They were all at the annual halloween party. Look at pictures here, here and here. If there are more, leave them in the comments.

You know how when you watch MTV or VH1 they show commercials for vspot and mtv-overdrive and all that shit. They show it working on Safari which is an application. Oddly enough, those brilliant dumbasses don’t realize that it does NOT work on a Mac. You actually get this error message
Detecting OS…
In order to offer a broad selection of full-length music videos on-demand and free of charge, mtvU Über uses Windows Digital Rights Management (DRM) to protect videos from unauthorized re-distribution.
Unfortunately, Microsoft’s Windows Media Player Plug-in for Macintosh does not support Windows DRM.
I hate that so much, i just want to watch a Kevin Smith web episode of a thingy. Damn you MTV

Friday, a friend named Ryan performed at the Underpass in Elmwood Park. He plays acoustic guitar, but a combo of Johnny Cash, Zappa, The Blues Brothers and Robert Zimmerman. It’s awesome to saw the least. The bar is a hippie/jam band type bar, but it’s cool except for the patchouli oil smell…
Last night, Maritime performed at the Mercury Lounge so we headed into NYC. It’s my second time seeing them and it was great. It was very late and we’re old, but it was cool. Despite the show being sold out, many people where there to see the opening bands and didn’t know Maritime, but were pleased to hear them. I was hoping they had sweatshirts much to my chagrin.
We did eat/drink at The Hat and then met Fred and Erika at Local 138 where a member of ET:11 works.
Now, it’s back to work for FIVE LONG DAYS.

Plaxo.com is a FREE site for storing your address book online. it’s basically a repository for syncing. if you don’t subscribe to .Mac anymore like myself, it’s a good way to add addresses on multiple computers and sync correctly everytime. kinda neat.

Weston’s playing a reunion show or three. Punknews reported three days which was posted on Weston’s myspace page. Indie Rock Star is a great song and i’d love to hear it live again!

Sunday was my first time going to the Asbury Lanes to see Jonah perform. Probably the 15th time i saw Jonah also, but who’s counting. The Lanes kick ass. 70’s retro with cool art and the trendy-punkrock look. The stage is permanent and only occupies two of the 16 lanes. With cheap PBR on draft this place makes it into my top 10 NJ spots. Thank You Asbury Lanes.

Wow, that sounds sorta gay. But i finally got my vinyl today in the mail. Can’t wait for the rest. Thanks Chuck and co. Now, if Risa would tell me how the show was and Chuck would post the NYC venue listing, i’d be even more excited!
