So…
what am amazing night. dim and i headed into nyc early so we could beat traffic, play some Wii (which rules and i want one) and drink some beer before meeting up with Risa and co and eat and drink more.
So, yeah, we played Wii headed down to Saigon Grill by Union Square. We got there early so we had some beers at a place called Reservoir. I had a Kona Longboard Lager and a beer i haven’t had since i was 15, GOLDSTAR. They have it bottled. It’s not good, but cheap and Israeli. The Kona was nice too.
Then Risa showed up! YEAH!!! We headed across the street to have Vietnamese food, which i’ve never had before. Very good, i must admit. It’s like Thai/Japanese/Chinese, but hotter and more complex.
We headed to the show, but we realized it was too early still, so we went to Nevada Smith’s Had some Carlsbergs and some Kroneburgs and met up with Fred and more of Risa’s friends. Emily left us and we went to the show.
Shit, i saw so many faces. The back of Irving was like a New Brunswick reunion. Can’t wait to see them on the 23rd @ the court. I heard rumor bout Shades Apart playing, so that RULES! Pictures are on my flickr, but if you’re too lazy, click this link or this for a sample of my night.
After the show, we went for more drinks up by the venue and then left to go back.
It was a GREAT Time!!! amazing, actually!

Dimmy and i got pulled over at the typical DWI stop in Clifton/Passaic on the way to the Clash Bar. The cop asked if i’ve been drinking, to which i said “no.” He asked where we were going and i said, actually, we are on our way to the bar right now. The officer and his partner laughed and said, “be careful and if you get too drunk, don’t come back home this way.” what a funny line to hear from the law enforcement.
ah ha to the people who got tickets, happy time to me.
Just like The Allman brother’s did… Saw Ben Folds last night. Kinda boring at first, but it got good. He covered Bitches Ain’t Shit, always fun and Coldplay, played a little It’s the Final Countdown and kept trying to make people shit their pants. Ben also played his own songs too. The Japanese place was good too. Dimmy and I made Lauren try Sake. That was funny. Mmmmm pumpkin tempura.
These Beer Goggles are totally sweet.

damn, i’m slow tonight. Can’t remember what else i’ve been listening to besides the new Tom Waits.
