Cave In plans rarities compilation

While members of Cave In are busy with various projects including frontman Steve Brodsky’s Octave Museum, Pet Genius and his own solo work, Guitarist Adam McGrath’s Clouds, and bassist Caleb Scofield with Zozobra, Old Man Gloom and Heatseeker, the band is still planning another compilation release on Hydrahead.

According to reports, “Brodsky just delivered a whopping four discs worth of Cave In rarities to Hydrahead — supposedly to be whittled down for a future release

Cave In released Perfect Pitch Black in 2005.

maxwells flea market this sunday

i’m going to be selling record bowls from noon til four. go!

guess who’s back

for some crazy reason, my site and leafygreen.info were out today. i called my host and an ISP and they did not have any answer. network outages should not happen on weekends. i dont like calling tech companies on my day off. wok wok lolcatz

thats not funny, seriously. i’m going to dinner soon, but last night, a beautiful girl and i saw kimya dawson at maxwells. it was a chill, mellow show. we sat on the floor and it was fun. kimya rocked out 2 songs from juno, some songs from her new kids album about farting and pooing and talked about a furrie convention.

she’s an odd woman, but it was fun. the opener was matty pop chart. he sounds like atom and his package but poppier. like atom’s vocals, a electric guitar with his capo half way down the neck and his candy/indie pop songs about who the hell knows what. he was fun.

we were almost the oldest people there. surrounded by 12 year old girls, we enjoyed the show and then had dinner. had delerium (hollllla) and riverhorse special ale esb at mile square.

off 2 dinner, peace

rocky the musical

Hot Water Music Reunion

Hot Water Music Reunion

Thursday night, I took lori to see Chuck Ragan @ friends at Maxwells. Josh from 6 Going on 7 and Ben from Lucera opened. Chuck was amazing! He played his hits with his fiddle playing friend backing him up. Ben was amazing too. freakin’ great.

the end was awesome when the country/punkrock jam session broke out.

friday night, Risa and i went to see Hot Water Music play their reunion. the sold out crowd of mostly 21+ year old dudes who are fat and balding (including myself - holla) rocked the venue. it was truly an amazing site. chris, chuck, george and jason were in perfect harmony like they never stopped… amazingly amazing.

see pictures above or clicie here.

we couldnt help but cry
when we were brought to life
drug out by the cold
slapped a few times to the rhythm of the flickering lights
with tightly closed sore eyes we grow
to either be or hate what’s cold and
what’s when we learn to know to run
don’t follow and lead a life the best we know
it’s hard to find your way through the darkness
and its hard to know what to believe
but if you live by your heart and value the love you find
when you have all you need to run don’t follow lead a life
the best we know let’s talk about an independent stand
let’s talk about freeform thought
it’s not about living under command
so don’t get caught
live your heart and never follow

They ripped it up last night at Adam’s Beer Garden in Rockaway. first set was random covers like Ruby Soho and I Think We’re Alone Now, second set was all songs from 1994 like Popular, Lump, The Brews and the newmetalish/rage version of Shoop. Third set was originals!
