Jack Warden dead at 85

Dimmy told me about this earlier today. Jack Warden, an Emmy-winning and Academy Award-nominated actor who played gruff cops, coaches and soldiers in a career that spanned five decades, has died. He was 85. He was nominated for his role as a businessman in 1975’s “Shampoo” and the good-hearted football trainer in 1978’s “Heaven Can Wait.” He probably should have gotten an Emmy for his role in “Dirty Work” also. It is one of the all time classics.

that would be wierd if he were nominated for an Emmy for his role in Dirty Work, since Dirty Work is a movie and not television…Perhaps an Oscar my friend, perhaps and oscar…
