I know that sounds harsh, but seriously. I recently set up a quick stats counter on one of my domains. I’ve noticed about 20% of the queries are for thedomainname.com. So, instead of searching for the person, place or thing, people are searching for the thing’s full qualified domain name.
I guess i’m actually trying to help educate people that searching on google.com for yahoo.com is a waste of time. Just goto yahoo.com, knowwhaimsayin?

You’re just like a regular John Mark Karr, teaching all of the children of the world how to get along in our workaday world. Bless you.
